He told about growing up in Berlin, the Berlin wall, his family and their political backgrounds, socialism, kapitalism, how the German history has influenced his views and way of thinking, musical influenses, cutting himself, his scars, his anger and how it helped him to create music.

The definitive Alec Empire/Atari Teenage Riot DVD will include over 3 hours of video material, containing all of Alec's videos, various live footage (incl. the legendary Fuji Rock performance with Charlie Clouser from Nine Inch Nails and Merzbow) plus all Atari Teenage Riot and members' videos.
Alec Empire will promote this release with various special DJ performances, accompanied by VJ/director Philipp Virus who has produced music promos for Dinosaur Jr., Sonic Youth, Two Lone Swordsmen, Atari Teenage Riot and many more.
The live program will contain reworked images of the DVD footage; the idea is not to simply re-perform this but rather to put it all into a new context by mixing Alec's musical history with new sounds and new images.
Alec Empire has spearheaded the electro punk scene for over a decade now…it's time to take it to the next level.

i always had a very wide taste in music, and everyone who knows me as a dj is aware of that, but musically i found that many try to corner me in the digital hardcore & noise genre. fair enough, i pushed these genres perhaps more than any other person, but if you take a look at my discography then it becomes quite clear that i have done much much more than that.

After the success of the Robot L.O.V.E. 12", Alec delivers yet another taster from his forthcoming new LP
THE GOLDEN FORETASTE OF HEAVEN, with the On Fire EP.
Initially conceived as an online only release, the EP is also being issued as a special limited edition CD: crammed with 10 tracks comprising hot new remixes and other, as yet unheard goodies from the album, the CD comes mounted on blue plexi-glass in a sexy silver see-through plastic bag.

alec empire is working on a soundtrack for a film called „snowball“ starring udo kier, ben becker, natalia avelon, birol ünel and helmut berger.
he is taking part in the greenpeace campaign „black smoke“ alongside other artists (siouxie sioux, jonas akerlund, daniel brühl, the designers republic and many more) which addresses the dangers of global warming in 2007.
